Privacy Policy

Personal data (hereinafter generally referred to simply as "data") is processed by us only to the extent necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including its content and the services offered there.

In accordance with Article 4, No. 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, i.e. the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR"), "processing" means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

With the following privacy policy, we inform you in particular about the type, scope, purpose, duration, and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we alone or jointly with others determine the purposes and means of such processing. We also inform you below about the third-party components we use for optimization purposes and to improve the quality of use, insofar as third parties thereby process data under their own responsibility.

Our privacy policy is structured as follows:

I. Information about us as the controller II. Rights of users and data subjects III. Information on data processing

I. Information about Us as the Controller

The controller responsible for this website within the meaning of data protection law is:

Lasertron Süd GmbH Alte Poststraße 470, 8055 Graz, Austria +43 660 60 30000

II. Rights of Users and Data Subjects

With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right

  • to confirmation of whether data concerning them is being processed, to information about the data processed, to further information about the data processing, and to copies of the data (see also Art. 15 GDPR);

  • to correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data (see also Art. 16 GDPR);

  • to the prompt erasure of data concerning them (see also Art. 17 GDPR), or, alternatively, if further processing is required under Art. 17(3) GDPR, to restriction of processing in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR;

  • to receive the data concerning them that they have provided, and to have this data transmitted to other providers/controllers (see also Art. 20 GDPR);

  • to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if they believe that data concerning them is being processed by the provider in violation of data protection law (see also Art. 77 GDPR). Furthermore, the provider is obliged to inform all recipients to whom data has been disclosed by the provider of any correction or erasure of data or restriction of processing carried out pursuant to Articles 16, 17(1), and 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if such notification proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort. Notwithstanding this, the user has a right to be informed of these recipients.

Users and data subjects also have the right under Art. 21 GDPR to object to the future processing of data concerning them, where such data is processed by the provider pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct marketing is permissible.

III. Information on Data Processing

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, provided that no statutory retention obligations preclude deletion and no other specific information is provided below regarding individual processing procedures.

Server Data

For technical reasons, particularly to ensure a secure and stable website, data is transmitted to us — or to our web hosting provider — by your internet browser. These so-called server log files include, among other things, the type and version of your internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you accessed our site (referrer URL), the page(s) of our website that you visit, the date and time of access, and the IP address of the internet connection from which our website is accessed.

This data collected in this manner is stored temporarily, but not together with any other data relating to you.

This storage takes place on the legal basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the stability, functionality, and security of our website.

The data is deleted after no more than seven days, unless further retention is required for evidentiary purposes. Otherwise, the data is excluded from deletion, in whole or in part, until the incident in question has been fully clarified.

Cookies

a) Session Cookies

We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are placed and stored on your device by the internet browser you use. These cookies allow certain information about you — such as your browser or location data, or your IP address — to be processed to varying degrees.

This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure, as it enables, for example, the display of our website in different languages or the provision of a shopping cart function.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as these cookies process data for the purpose of initiating or performing a contract.

If the processing does not serve the initiation or performance of a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. In that case, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

These session cookies are deleted when you close your internet browser.

b) Third-Party Cookies

Where applicable, cookies from partner companies with whom we cooperate for advertising, analytics, or functionality purposes may also be used on our website.

For details, particularly regarding the purposes and legal bases of the processing carried out by such third-party cookies, please refer to the information below.

c) How to Prevent Cookies

You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies through your internet browser's settings. You can also delete previously stored cookies at any time. However, the steps and measures required to do so depend on the specific browser you use. If you have any questions, please refer to your browser's help function or documentation, or contact its manufacturer or support. For so-called Flash cookies, however, processing cannot be prevented via browser settings. Instead, you must change the settings of your Flash Player accordingly. Again, the steps and measures required depend on the specific Flash Player you use. If you have questions, please refer to the help function or documentation of your Flash Player, or contact its manufacturer or user support.

If you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may mean that not all functions of our website can be used to their full extent.

Social Media Links via Graphic or Text Link

We also promote our presence on the social networks listed below on our website. This is done by means of a linked graphic of the respective network. The use of this linked graphic prevents an automatic connection from being established to the respective social network's server when a page featuring such a social media promotion is visited, which would otherwise be necessary to display a graphic of the network itself. Only by clicking on the corresponding graphic is the user forwarded to the respective social network's service.

After being forwarded, information about the user is collected by the respective network. It cannot be ruled out that the data collected in this way is processed in the USA.

This initially includes data such as IP address, date, time, and the page visited. If the user is logged into their account on the respective network at the time, the network operator may be able to assign the collected information from that specific visit to the user's personal account. If the user interacts via a "share" button of the respective network, this information may be stored in the user's personal account and potentially published. If the user wants to prevent the collected information from being directly linked to their account, they must log out before clicking the graphic. It is also possible to configure the respective user account accordingly.

The following social networks are integrated into our website via links:

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active

Facebook guarantees that EU data protection requirements are also observed when data is processed in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website.

Further information about the possible plug-ins and their respective functions is provided by Facebook at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/ .

If the plug-in is embedded on one of the pages of our website that you visit, your internet browser downloads a representation of the plug-in from Facebook's servers in the USA. For technical reasons, it is necessary for Facebook to process your IP address. In addition, the date and time of your visit to our website are also recorded.

If you are logged into Facebook while visiting one of our pages featuring the plug-in, the information collected by the plug-in regarding your specific visit is recognized by Facebook. Facebook may then assign this collected information to your personal user account. For example, if you use Facebook's "Like" button, this information will be stored in your Facebook account and potentially published via the Facebook platform. If you want to prevent this, you must either log out of Facebook before visiting our website or use a browser add-on to block the Facebook plug-in from loading.

Further information about the collection and use of data, as well as your related rights and options for protection, is provided by Facebook in its privacy notices available at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

"Twitter" Social Plug-in

Our website uses the plug-in of the social network Twitter. Twitter is an internet service provided by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, hereinafter referred to as "Twitter."

Through its certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TORzAAO&status=Active ), Twitter guarantees that EU data protection requirements are also observed when data is processed in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website.

If the plug-in is embedded on one of the pages of our website that you visit, your internet browser downloads a representation of the plug-in from Twitter's servers in the USA. For technical reasons, it is necessary for Twitter to process your IP address. In addition, the date and time of your visit to our website are also recorded.

If you are logged into Twitter while visiting one of our pages featuring the plug-in, the information collected by the plug-in regarding your specific visit is recognized by Twitter. Twitter may then assign this collected information to your personal user account. For example, if you use Twitter's "Share" button, this information will be stored in your Twitter account and potentially published via the Twitter platform. If you want to prevent this, you must either log out of Twitter before visiting our website or adjust the corresponding settings in your Twitter account.

Further information about the collection and use of data, as well as your related rights and options for protection, is provided by Twitter in its privacy notices available at https://twitter.com/privacy .

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google."

Through its certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active ), Google guarantees that EU data protection requirements are also observed when data is processed in the USA.

Google Analytics is used to analyze the usage behavior of our website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our website.

Usage- and user-related information, such as IP address, location, time, or frequency of visits to our website, is transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. However, we use Google Analytics with the anonymization function enabled. This function causes Google to shorten your IP address within the EU or the EEA before further processing.

The data collected in this way is used by Google to provide us with an analysis of visits to our website and the associated usage activities. This data may also be used to provide additional services related to the use of our website and the use of the internet in general.

Google states that it does not combine your IP address with other data. Google also provides further data protection information at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners , including information on how to prevent the use of your data.

In addition, Google offers a deactivation add-on, along with further information, at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. This add-on can be installed with common internet browsers and gives you further control over the data Google collects when you access our website. The add-on instructs Google Analytics' JavaScript (ga.js) not to transmit information about your website visit to Google Analytics. However, this does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services. Which other web analytics services we use, if any, is also disclosed in this privacy policy.

Google Maps

Our website uses Google Maps to display our location and to generate driving directions. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google."

Through its certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active ), Google guarantees that EU data protection requirements are also observed when data is processed in the USA.

To enable the display of certain fonts on our website, a connection is established to a Google server in the USA when our website is accessed.

If you access the Google Maps component embedded in our website, Google stores a cookie on your device via your internet browser. To display our location and generate directions, your user settings and data are processed. We cannot rule out that Google uses servers located in the USA for this purpose.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in optimizing the functionality of our website.

Through the connection established in this way, Google can determine from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the directions should be delivered.

If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies through the appropriate settings in your internet browser. Further details can be found above under "Cookies."

In addition, the use of Google Maps and the information obtained through it is subject to Google's Terms of Service (https://policies.google.com/terms?gl=DE&hl=de ) and the Google Maps Terms and Conditions (https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html ).

Google also provides further information at: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated  https://policies.google.com/privacy

Google Search Function ("CSE")

We use "Google Custom Search" (Google Custom Search Engine, "CSE") for full-text search on our website. "CSE" is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter "Google."

Google is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield and thereby guarantees compliance with EU data protection requirements when processing data in the USA.

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

"CSE" enables a full-text search of content on our website. This search function is accessed via a "Google Custom Search" search box.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the user-friendliness of the website.

The function is integrated into our website unchanged as a Google software module. When a search is initiated by entering a search term, Google loads the requested information via a plugin. At the same time, the terms entered by the user and the user's IP address are transmitted to Google in order to carry out the search and display the results.

If the user is logged into an existing Google account at the time of the search, Google may be able to assign the collected information to the associated user profile.

Further information, particularly on how to prevent the use of your data, is provided by Google at the following links:

YouTube

Our website uses YouTube, a video portal operated by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, hereinafter referred to as "YouTube."

YouTube is a subsidiary of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google."

Through its certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active ), Google — and thus its subsidiary YouTube — guarantees that EU data protection requirements are also observed when data is processed in the USA.

We use YouTube in conjunction with its "Enhanced Data Protection Mode" to display videos to you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website. According to YouTube, the "Enhanced Data Protection Mode" ensures that the data described below is only transmitted to YouTube's server once you actually start playing a video.

Without this "Enhanced Data Protection," a connection to YouTube's server in the USA is established as soon as you access a page on our website containing an embedded YouTube video.

This connection is necessary to display the respective video on our website through your internet browser. In the process, YouTube will collect and process at least your IP address, the date and time, and the website you visited. In addition, a connection to Google's advertising network "DoubleClick" is established.

If you are simultaneously logged into YouTube, YouTube assigns the connection information to your YouTube account. If you want to prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our website or adjust the corresponding settings in your YouTube account.

For functionality purposes and to analyze usage behavior, YouTube permanently stores cookies on your device via your internet browser. If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option of preventing the storage of cookies through the appropriate settings in your internet browser. Further information can be found above under "Cookies."

Further information about the collection and use of data, as well as your related rights and options for protection, is provided by Google in its privacy notices available at https://policies.google.com/privacy .

To secure our website and optimize loading times, we use the CloudFlare service as a so-called CDN (Content Delivery Network). This is a service provided by Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, California 94107, USA, hereinafter referred to as "CloudFlare."

Through its certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnZKAA0&status=Active), CloudFlare guarantees that EU data protection requirements are also observed when data is processed in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure operation and optimization of our website.

When you access our website, your requests are routed through CloudFlare's server. In the process, statistical access data regarding your visit to our website is collected, and CloudFlare stores a cookie on your device via your internet browser. This access data includes:

  • your IP address,
  • the page(s) of our website you accessed,
  • the type and version of the internet browser you use,
  • the operating system you use,
  • the website from which you accessed our site (referrer URL),
  • the length of time you spend on our website, and
  • the frequency with which you access our pages.

This data is used by CloudFlare for statistical analysis of website access as well as for the security and optimization of the service.

If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies through the appropriate settings in your internet browser. Further details can be found above under "Cookies."

CloudFlare provides further information on the collection and use of data, as well as your rights and options for protecting your privacy, at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ .

Google AdWords with Conversion Tracking

Our website uses the advertising component Google AdWords, including so-called conversion tracking.

We use conversion tracking for the targeted advertising of our offerings. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our website.

If you click on an advertisement placed by Google, the conversion tracking we use stores a cookie on your device. These so-called conversion cookies expire after 30 days and are not otherwise used for your personal identification.

If the cookie is still valid and you visit a specific page of our website, both we and Google can determine that you clicked on one of our advertisements placed on Google and were subsequently redirected to our website.

Using the information obtained in this way, Google generates statistics on visits to our website for us. We also receive information about the number of users who clicked on our advertisement(s) and the pages of our website subsequently accessed. However, neither we nor any third parties also using Google AdWords are able to identify you personally in this way.

You can also prevent or restrict the installation of cookies through the appropriate settings in your internet browser. You can also delete previously stored cookies at any time. However, the steps and measures required to do so depend on the specific browser you use. If you have any questions, please refer to your browser's help function or documentation, or contact its manufacturer or support.

Google also provides further information on this topic, and in particular on how to prevent the use of your data, at: https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/ http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

Google AdSense stores cookies as well as so-called web beacons on your device via your internet browser. This enables Google to analyze your use of our website. The information collected in this way, together with your IP address and the advertising formats displayed to you, is transmitted to and stored by Google in the USA. Google may also pass this information on to its contractual partners. However, Google states that your IP address will not be combined with other data about you.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our website.

If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies through the appropriate settings in your internet browser. Further details can be found above under "Cookies."

Google also provides further information, particularly on how to prevent the use of your data, at: https://policies.google.com/privacy  https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated

Google Remarketing / "Similar Audiences" Component

Our website uses the remarketing or "similar audiences" function. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google."

Through its certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active), Google guarantees that EU data protection requirements are also observed when data is processed in the USA.

We use this function to display interest-based, personalized advertising on the websites of third parties that also participate in Google's advertising network.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our website.

To enable this advertising service, Google stores a cookie containing a sequence of numbers on your device via your internet browser during your visit to our website. This cookie records both your visit and your use of our website in anonymized form. However, no personal data is disclosed. If you subsequently visit the website of a third party that also participates in Google's advertising network, advertisements may appear that relate to our website or our offerings.

To permanently disable this function, Google offers a browser plugin for the most common internet browsers at https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin .

The use of cookies by certain providers can also be disabled via opt-out at http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices  or http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ .

Through so-called cross-device marketing, Google may track your usage behavior across multiple devices, meaning that interest-based, personalized advertising may be shown to you even if you switch devices. However, this requires that you have consented to linking your browsing histories with your existing Google account. Google provides further information on Google Remarketing at http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/ .

Microsoft Bing Ads

Our website uses Bing Ads for remarketing and conversion tracking. This is a service provided by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA, hereinafter referred to as "Microsoft," which uses so-called Universal Event Tracking (UET).

Through its certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000KzNaAAK&status=Active), Microsoft guarantees that EU data protection requirements are also observed when data is processed in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our website.

If you click on an advertisement we have placed on the Bing search engine, Microsoft stores a tracking cookie on your device via your internet browser. This tracking cookie expires after 180 days and is not used for your personal identification. If you visit certain pages of our website while the cookie is still valid, both Microsoft and we can recognize that you clicked on an advertisement we placed on Bing and were subsequently redirected to our website.

Microsoft uses the information collected through the tracking cookie to generate visit statistics for us. This gives us information about the number of visits to the advertisements we placed on Bing, as well as the pages of our website subsequently accessed. However, we do not receive any information that would allow us to identify you personally.

In addition, Microsoft may track your usage behavior across multiple devices through so-called cross-device tracking. This enables Microsoft to display personalized advertising to you across devices.

If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies through the appropriate settings in your internet browser. Further details can be found above under "Cookies."

If you have a Microsoft account, you can also change your settings for personalized advertising at http://choice.microsoft.com/de-de/opt-out
